At the MTB Marathon through the Pöllauertal Nature Park, Chase team rider Manfred started on the 75 kilometre classic distance. Right from the start, he was able to keep up with the enormously high pace of the overall Challenge leader Wolfgang Krenn. This pace was a bit too fast for Manfred, but he fought audaciously and bit his way into the rear wheel of his competitor. After two hours of racing, however, he was presented with the bill for his “stalling”. He lost a lot of time and when shortly before the finish line there was still competition from behind he could not oppose anything. In the end, he still managed to secure third place in the class.

The electrity plant Donaustadt in Vienna is usually only known as orientation point on the way to Lobau if cycling on the danube island in Vienna. On Sunday, for the first time it was the location and beautiful scenery for a cyclo-cross race. About 100 starters did prefer cycling and competed in three different races instead of celebrating the last Sunday before christmas quiet at home. In the main competition lasting 60 minutes, there were even two Chase athletes participating.

The track was mostly flat but due to a lot of holes demanding for body and material. In combination with the partially heavy wind, it was a very strategic race. After the first half, you could watch the first really severe attacks. It ended very positively for Felix and with a third row for Manfred, only some seconds after him.

Having the Austrian cross-country championship in mind that will take place in January in St.Pölten, both athletes can be really proud of their performance so far and there is still time to work on the last fine tunings concerning their skills.

Just in time for the start of the cyclocross season the new specific cross-country rims made by Chase are ready to be used. Manfred came to our manufacture in Maria Enzersdorf to receive his individual rims and pick them up personally.

These new Chase carbon rims are high quality products handcrafted in Austria. Two types of cross country rims are available – a version for rim brakes and a disk-version. He is looking forward to his first competition the following weekend – the Crossrace Action Day des RC SK Vöest. He’ll cycle and check out his new “Chase mud” rims.

From June 15th to 18th, Kitzbühel invited to the ETU Triathlon European Championship. Top-athlete Tom Thalhammer took part in it.
Already in 2014 he finished in fourth place over the sprint-distance. This time, his goal was to overcome the olmypic distance.
At the first discipline, swimming, Tom placed third.
Equipped with the aerodynamic ChaseUp carbon-wheels he went into the cycling track, where the athlete could save himself the first place for a short amount of time.

During running the triathlete had some health problems and was forced to pause.
Despite the loss of time Tom Thalhammer finished in excellent 7th position.

Felix Schneider and Bernhard Weis lined up for the Leithaberg cycling marathon on June 4th for team Chase in category “120km men elite”. They performed 3 rounds with each 40km in length. They also had to face several short and long elevation gains.
The event started at 9:14 a.m. for those who chose to cycle 120km.

The bikers had to cope with extremely high temperatures. Therefore, their top priority was to optimally use their strengths and constantly keep an eye on their fluid balance.
The race has been additionally complicated by the tough wind conditions, which are mostly typical for Burgenland.

From May 19th to 21st the Cross Country World Cup in Nove Mesto na Morave invited cyclists from all over the world. Manfred Zöger participated in men’s elite class.

He arrived in the small town in the czech Region Mähren on Friday. The evening short track race was already quite crowded.

On the final race on Sunday, Manfred hat a delay caused by a crash in front of him. However, in spite of his spill, he made the notable 96th place.

Felix Ritzinger celebrated his official comeback from his shoulder injury in February on Mai 14th at the Velo Vertical Vienne 2017. Only the one who passes all 17 elevations in the shortest possible time will win the competition.
It was the first intense stress since months and one could possibly think that there certainly will be a clear performance deficit.
Felix was perfectly equipped with the ChaseUp rim for his comeback.
With 12 minutes lead he had the perfect start in the oncoming biking season.
Winner of the day: Felix Ritzinger! He passed all 17 stages in 1:27:56.
