Chase: Carbon handcrafted in Austria

Founder duo brings technology innovation to Austria.

We, the founder duo of Chase GmbH, Peter Fröhlich and Felix Schneider, combine not only the passion for cycling but also the innovative spirit for the development of carbon parts.

In our production facility in Maria Enzersdorf (district Mödling, south of Vienna) we manufacture individual carbon components for cycling. As the first own product carbon rims are manufactured, which show an excellent heat resistance and special brake characteristics with the award for technical innovations. Carbon is a striking material due to its low weight and excellent mechanical properties. Chase uses the advantages of this state-of-the-art technology to produce high-quality components in Austria. “The timing for an innovation leader and carbon producer from Austria is currently better than ever,” says Felix Schneider, Chase co-founder and head of technical development.

We also position ourselves as a development partner and manufacturer of carbon parts for industry. In addition to high quality awareness, our focus is on sustainability and regionalism. The production is fed 100% with Austrian green electricity and an own photovoltaic system for a further optimisation of the ecological footprint is planned. The production facility in Maria Enzersdorf is equipped for a productive and pleasant working atmosphere. Generous window areas and indirect lighting with high-quality LED solutions ensure the well-being of employees and thus make an innovative development environment possible.

Material Carbon

Carbon stands for carbon fiber-reinforced plastic (CFRP), which is characterized by a low density with simultaneously high rigidity and tensile strength. The weight of components can be noticeably reduced with high stability and resistance. These advantages are used in vehicle construction, in aviation and also in sports equipment construction. In particular, the outstanding properties are used for bicycle frames and suspension forks. In addition to carbon rims, Chase also manufactures seat posts and many other individual carbon parts.

Who’s behind Chase?

Felix Schneider MSc
Head of Technology
I am head of technical development. By completing my Master’s degree in Sports Equipment Engineering coupled with professional experience in a technically leading position in the high-tech branch of the carbon industry, I bring the technical know-how to the implementation of the planned projects.

Ing. Peter Fröhlich BA. MSc.
CEO
During my time as a mountain bike professional I was already involved in the development process of carbon products for international companies. After my studies in project management and digital media I worked as an independent project consultant for several international Austrian companies in the field of LED lighting. My passion for technical developments was further strengthened during my studies in innovation technology and management at the Technikum Wien.

Symbiosis of know-how, experience and innovative spirit / enthusiasm for further development
Our complementary skills and enthusiasm for the development of carbon parts form the foundation of Chase GmbH.
Contacts to Austrian research institutions form our basis for staying abreast of the current state of the art in research. For example, there is currently close cooperation with the Technikum Wien in the field of test bench development for fibre-reinforced composites.

In addition to the professional way of working, our customers appreciate the uncomplicated handling of us and the specialist, individual approach bundled with the highest quality demands.
