Sunday’s motto was all about cyclo-cross. A little nervous but though with enthusiastic anticipation to the competition, I headed to the start with my new Chase mud rims . 21 female cyclists, including the Austrian national champion and worldcup participant Nadja Heigl, showed great female cycling on the Danube island in Vienna. In the very demanding course I wasn’t able to take the chance to stay with the 3 cyclers at the peak position surrounding Nadja Heigl because of being in the last starting row and a very tricky section directly after the start. In the race lasting about 40 minutes, I ended in a narrow fight about the fourth position which I could only decide in the last finish sprint. All in all the battle about this fourth position made me think positive. The first Mitzi Cross was really fun and makes me look for more. #girlpower
